[/quote] usually you have "guaranteed pay" and that could be 25, 30 , 40 hours a week. so if you are taking your 3rd or 5th or 8th vacation week of the year, if it is a whole week you owe the guaranteed pay figure. think of it as a retainer. think of it as "nanny needs the hours and would have taken a job that pays 30 hours/week for 52 weeks a year and not a wild card job paying 44 weeks or 48 or 50....."[/quote]
