Yes, it's likely that they liked you and were having a hard time deciding between candidates so you dropping out made their decision easier and it's possible that they didn't mean it in a snarky way, but at this point who cares? If they didn't mean to be snarky they chose their words poorly and aren't good at communicating and if they did you're better off not contacting them again for any reason.[/quote]
