Good Morning All! I recently hired a nanny for my ex. It is a court order that I do it. My ex has no parenting skills. Our son is 2 years old. The nanny is paid $20.oo per hour during the times dad has him. I interviewed the nanny and it seems like a good fit. The nanny and the dad pick up 2 times per a week. I prepared the toddler bag that includes food. Everything is provided to the dad and the nanny to care for the child. During the first two weeks my son did not eat any food. All the food, fruit and snacks were returned. The nanny informed us that my son did not eat. I also had to take my son to the doctor twice he was so week and had an infection. He is with the father more than five hours. I spoke with the nanny about my son not eating. The same day when my son returned home she said he ate all of his food. The following week she admitted to me that she throw away the food to make it look like my son was eating . At this point I became concerned about my son’s health. She has been with my son from March-present and my son does not eat with her. Most time he would not even drink water. All the food is returned. I have spoke to her and she said my son does not want to eat. My son’s father has mental health issues and really is not involved in the caring aspect so he does not noticed these things. I believe the nanny is only watching the kid and doing nothing. Are there any suggestions how to handle this situation? thanks
You need to discuss all this trauma with your child's pediatrician immediately, and have things documented.
