For someone requiring living in as part of the position, ie. For their benefit, you don't get to deduct the value of the room from their wages. So a test of this would applying to the position and asking what the pay would be if you didn't live in. If the answer is "the same" or "we need someone to live in," what they are offering is illegal. [/quote]
