For example, White House nannies charges a $300 fee to register with them and interview their prescreened nannies. They only charge a placement fee of thousands of dollars AFTER you hire from their pool of nannies. If you find someone you like better on your neighborhood list serve, then you are only out the $300, and you get a chance to see what the agency has to offer. Not that $300 is nothing, but it isn't astronomical. [/quote]
