Oh for god's sake. I live in Kensington and 17:03's answer is perfect. Paying $18-22/hr will give you a great deal of options OP - you will have lots of qualified applicants and many options. There are tons of nannies in the Montgomery County area w/ experience managing more than one infant. (I have twins and am active in our MoCo parents of multiples group and we all trade nanny references a lot. There are lots of wonderful nannies who would be great for your scenario.) There are many great things about having a nanny. And as a working mother I can tell you that there are great things about being a working parent also - do not beat yourself up about guilt. Do what works for your family and it will be fine.
Do you know of any of those great nannies who are available?
I know the two that I have hired - both of whom are happily employed. And I know that this kind of information is routinely shared within our group (and with friends/acquaintances of people in the group.) These kinds of nannies tend to be found through family to family referral, so OP should ask around, use her neighborhood listserv, see if she knows someone w/ multiples who might know of nannies w/ that kind of experience, etc...
