When I was fresh out of high school I googled the salary of my MB that I part time sat for.  She had recently taken a new position in the metro school system and all of their salaries were listed. I remember being very impressed with the $55,000 per year at the time lol. she was a single mother and was doing ok for herself.

I once worked for 2 doctors that left paystubs out all of the time on the kitchen counter when they were mailed.  the db was an obgyn and his stub showed he'd earned over $4,500 for the past week. I can't remember what mbs was, she was an allergist, hers would usually be folded and i didn't want to touch anything lol

One mb was on the phone (she worked from home) and thought that the baby and I were still out for a walk.  Sounded like she was filling out an application for something. She was always wearing a headset and could never hear anything. She was in her upstairs office and I heard her say her annual salary which was only  a couple  thousand moreover year than they were paying me at the time and over $10000 less than I made at my next job. I hurried and turned on music downstairs!  Made me see why she was always so awkward and resentful acting at paytime.  She was basically working to pay for me.  A lot of people with children have to do this but this mb was a boastful woman.  Always keeping up with the jones and getting the next trend.  Her husband made good I assume but still  It disgust me that she could not afford anything she was buying or if anything ever happened to her husband she would have to get rid of all the useless bs she was constantly buying to impress others.

My last mbs salary was listed in an article from her home city that talked of the high profile position that had been filled and spoke of the $350,000 annual salary.

One of the MBs that I only babysat for years ago here and there would always have something to say about me driving a nicer car than she did.  Never mind that I earned my money, didn't have kids and my spouse earns well and we are blessed.  But some act as if being a childcare worker means you're supposed to dream about the good life or struggle to make ends meet.

I don't know why I sometimes feel guilty when Im paid when I have a high paying salary with a family.  Never had this problem when I was teaching.  But sometimes knowing where their head and salaries are at put some things in perspective

Do any of you know any salary info? or deal with snobby nfs?
