The nanny could have turned down a longer lasting position in order to work for OP, only to be slapped in the face by being given 2 weeks notice at Christmas time. Nobody is saying OP shouldn't stay home with the baby. She has a responsibility to the person she hired.[/quote] Actually, her first responsibility is to her baby. Keep in mind this person has only worked for three MONTHS. Someone is saying to give her two months notice - that's completely crazy. [/quote]
