Even once kids are out of diapers, I still carry a small backpack with the first aid kit and other supplies, and it has extra room for library books and other things we pick up throughout the day.  The backpack has a luggage tag on the top loop, tucked down against my back while I'm wearing it.  Strollers always have a luggage tag in the front next to the child.  I insist on medic alert tags for any child with an allergy or other medical condition that an EMT might need to know before treating.  In my mind, it's basic preparedness, and one less thing that is likely to go wrong if there's an accident.[/quote]
