I have hired two nannies and the far, far better of the two was both educated in ECD and experienced - and much more expensive. My first nanny loved my son and was lovely as a person (and only $15 an hour) but did not have the education/experience to engage and teach him or the stamina and desire to keep up with him. No worker is ever going to accept less money when they can get more money elsewhere. Of course that does not mean that they are better or worth the cost necessarily but you will get a better selection when offering a higher than average rate. [/quote]
