Just needed to get the juicy gossip out somehow.  I am obviously not going to blab to MB or other friends (most of whom know MB and DB in some capacity).  I am plenty mature and know that people move in and out of relationships, but having to stand there and pretend that I can't tell it's a date was pretty damn awkward and acknowledging that it is a date would have been more awkward, so...tell me what I should have done besides make polite conversation and then laugh to myself in the car?[/quote]

Again, the funny/awkward part is that MB and I have both suspected for some time that he is dating, and there he was on an actual date, and yet he went out of his way to make it sound like she was just a friend.  It is the grown-up equivalent of a kid standing in front of you with frosting on his face, insisting that he doesn't know who ate that piece of cake.[/quote]
