I'd guess it would be the same if I was let go.[/quote] First of all, don't listen to the posters on this board who make outragous claims like in DC it is common to pay your nanny $30 an hour, or give her two weeks pay when you let her go, or 5 weeks vacation, etc. Do what is right for your area, it sounds like just let your nanny know as soon as your find out that your child can start and then end on good terms. No need to pay her for weeks she won't work or been over backwards in any other way to support her. I'm sure nanny is a big girl.[/quote]
