I live in a small blue-collar town where most people work factory jobs for minimum wage. $10 is a couple of dollars above minimum wage, and the environment in my home is nice, the work hours are flexible and guaranteed, and I offer a reasonable number of sick days and vacation days. I literally had almost 100 people respond to a newspaper ad that ran for 3 days for this job. Obviously, from reading this, that is not what people pay in DC, but just like $25/hr is reasonable in some areas, $10/hr is reasonable in others. [/quote]
