So I started a new job and this week was my second full week with the family. Every thing has been going great and I have been getting along great with both the parents and new nanny kid who is 2. We had an awesome week this week- went out for lunch one day and to the dollar store for crafts and then another day we went to the indoor playground. Both MB/DB have seemed really happy with me and MB even mentioned how great it was that nanny kid has seemed to click with me right away. Well I was browsing care.com yesterday while nanny kid was napping because I was looking to see if any local families were looking for occasional weekend hours and two pages in, I came across my current job! I know for sure that it's my job because it's my bosses name AND a picture of my nanny kid! She posted that they are looking for a full-time nanny to start on March 30th. I was SHOCKED when I saw that and didn't even know what to do! The one thing about the posting that stood out is that she posted that they are looking for someone for 25 hours a week from March 30th-June 1st and then come June 1st, it'll be 45 hours a week. MB is due with a new baby in 2-3 weeks and will be on maternity leave until June 1st. They decided to guarantee me 40 hours a week until June 1st to "secure my services" which they put into our work agreement. I'm now wondering if they are regretting offering me 40 hours for the next 3 months when MB is gonna be home on maternity leave and are now trying to find someone else who will work just 25 hours and then go to full-time come June? The thing that is frustrating is that I NEVER told MB that I NEEDED those full-time hours until June! She sent me along a copy of our work agreement and had added that into it and I was shocked by it but happy! I just wanted to see what everyones thoughts are? I'm so confused and don't know if I should bring it up to MB or what I should even say?
