Our nanny is absolutely wonderful and she is the type to tell us that she doesn't want any money for the trip. She routinely shows up early (uncompensated) to clean (not part of her job description), buys my kids things with her own money (even though she has my credit card and I tell her never to use her own cash), etc. She is very grandmotherly and acts as though we're her own family.  I don't want to take advantage of her in any way, so I was looking for feedback to see what others do in this situation so I know when I have the discussion with her.  [/quote]
