Yeah, I was kind of shocked.  She was the most professional and polished of the 4 candidates we interviewed, and also the most expensive.  I really liked her until she started being so critical (and it's not like anything was dangerous, she just didn't seem to like the idea of a changing station in the kitchen area.  But I had twin infants and that's what worked for how/where we spent those days!)

I was bummed.  She went from my top candidate to a clear no in the span of that second interview.[/quote]

It might not seem that bad to you because they're your kids, but a stranger coming into your home doesn't see it that way.
Would you really want to eat and prep food in a kitchen where feces is handled everyday?
