I have a young child that I will be bringing with me to work, although not the first couple days so as to get acclimated to the new job before bringing my child.  If we're to get this much snow i don't want to ask my inlaws, who are watching him while I work the first couple days, to leave their house in such a bad storm.  I honestly don't want to be out driving in these conditions either.

Would it be way off base to email MB and let her know about the storm (in case she hasn't heard about it) and ask her thoughts on the work day, but also remind her of the snow day section of the contract?
