As an employee, you are entitled to know what hours/days you will be needed. It is just common courtesy for her to let you know + if she cannot extend you that courtesy right now, then that is a red flag that later down the road other things will pop up that will bother you as well.

You are not antagonizing her or being unreasonable about wanting to know your schedule. She obviously is not putting it high on her priority list to inform you.

I am not familiar w/iCloud, but my boss just sends me a regular old fashioned e-mail w/dates and times listed and we go from there. If there are ever any changes in the schedule, she will simply text me and she always gives me plenty of notice.

I am getting an uneasy feeling about Family B. Perhaps you should call her first and talk to her directly. Let her know how important knowing your schedule in advance is to you and why. Hopefully she will understand.

But honestly, something just feels off here.

Yes, she may write a negative review on your profile, but that is the chance you will have to take.
