This is one reason people have work agreements to avoid this confusion. My guess is because of your vacation agreement she is probably assuming she will be paid. I doubt she plans to go 3 weeks without pay. Though I suppose she should have verified this as well. Really I don't understand your question should you pay her or give her a bonus?
