I've recently started a new job and I now regret taking the offer over others. MB seemed really great and in tune with what I was searching for in a family. Last week the baby had a big blowout and it ended up all over my clothes while I was feeding him. I asked MB if I can quickly go home and clean up. She told me no because while she was working from home, she had important calls. About 5 hours later DB comes home and MB and him are watching tv while I'm still working. That when on for two more hours. I felt very disrespected and its completely unhygienic. I had to work 10 hours ( even go outside) with feces all over my shirt and leggings. Second thing is MB has started to leave her breakfast dishes out and has made two comments about them still being at the nook when she got home. My charge is high-needs and I don't have time to clean up after her. Third, I'm not allowed to cook myself anything in their kitchen. I don't have time and not much of a problem, but a little irritating if I want to bring soup to warm up. I am more upset over the hygiene issue and the fact that she thinks its my duty to clean up after her now. That was not in my job description. I am working today but asked in advance to take off tomorrow. I was diagnosed with PCOS a month ago and I have limited time ability. I work 7:30am - 8pm, M-F. I need to see my doctor for consultation on what to do to deal with and reverse PCOS. She was understanding and said taking the day was fine ( its unpaid). She has been making passive aggressive remarks about my day off tomorrow, which she cleared the day I started working. I've been there there weeks and already feel so unwelcome. My job will be a temp for 6 months until they move out of state. I'm trying to stick it out but on the other hand, I am so unhappy and feel like quitting due to disrespect. All the families I worked previously have been great and I am still I touch will them all. I've never had to deal with having a job I was unhappy in and I'm not sure what is the appropriate way to handle this situation?? Thank you all.
