If your contract actually says that then they absolutely have to pay you for 45 hours. From what it sounds like you are saying though the contract outlines your schedule and hours but doesn't specifically say you are guaranteed those hours. The guaranteed hours part is a little ambiguous from what you said. FWIW I still think they are wrong but legally I'm not sure.[/quote]
