Also, bonuses while a good tool for retention, are supposed to be rewards for a job well done. Your employee doesn't then owe you something because of a bonus. Expectations change. If you had lost your job, or needed to move, you would have let her go. Her having expectations that she'd have a job for another year wouldn't make a difference right?[/quote]
