NO ONE outside of the nanny profession would put up with this behavior from an employer. You better believe that if 2 months in a row my paycheck was more than a week late, I'd be giving my employer X number of days until I filed a claim.  You are entitled to your paycheck.

You need to stand up for yourself.  Tell your boss that your paycheck is almost a week late and if youndont receive it by Tuesday, you will be looking into legal action.   If you get fired, your MB is an asshole who was trying to take advantage of you.  If she apologizes profusely and gets it to you, thank her and say that next month you hope it doesn't get to this point.

Your MB isn't stupid or naive. She knows what she's doing and it's up to you to let her know it's not ok.
