No need to be rude.  I was planning to be able to deposit the check so the money would be there for the bills that automatically deduct from my checking account.  I have 2 that will draft that Saturday.  From my understaning, I can't deposit a post-dated check before the date written on it.  I could be wrong.[/quote]

NP, but you are the one who implied that. Your DB planned to pay you after they returned from vacation, and you expected him to pay you before. Now you're saying your bills can't get paid if he doesn't, so it sounds like you were counting on getting paid early. What bank re you using that being out of town precludes being able to deposit your check on Friday? [/quote]

Tomorrow is the 4th of July.  Banks are not open on federal holidays.
I've stated twice already that I will be travelling next Friday.
I will have to wait until Monday to deposit my paycheck and an additional 2 days for it to clear.
