Things may need to change with the other family any ways as your nanny searches for a new job. At least if its you you can try and offer them a lot of notice and flexibility through the transition. How many kids do you have all together, is a nanny share for those hours feasible? Perhaps even just in the short term while they try and find someone new, if it will assuage your guilt a bit.
