Household employees are not exempt from anything-- all employees adhere to the same law-- 40 hours per week, no matter how many hours worked per day-- is regular pay. The PP who spoke of vacation and holiday time is correct, too. If you work forty hours AND take a vacation day in the same pay period, all hours paid (48) will be at regular time.[/quote]
