Obviously you probably have some cultural insight given your family heritage but I would throw out the two cautions I received in looking at an Indian AP (she was living in SA). One of my best friends was born and raised in India and cautioned me that it would be unlikely that a middle class girl would be ok with doing household chores, specifically cleaning the kids or her own bathroom. She (the friend) was raised with domestic help and was taught that these types of tasks were beneath her.
This can happen with APs or nannies from any culture. Some people are just not brought up to do much cleaning in their own homes - possibly due to having 'hired help', or maybe their family overall does not notice the mess or think it is necessary to clean as often as you might, or for some young women maybe their mothers have always done the cleaning and they have never lived away from their family before. This has certainly happened to us. I think the thing is to be extremely clear and very detailed in your expectations, and be prepared to revisit your work agreement/job description if your expectations are not being met.
