Hello to all, I have a problem, and I am unsure of how to handle it. I have been a Nanny for 12+ years and have always been with amazing families, long term 2+ years. I then became a mom 2.5 years ago and now I see just how important and hard it is to find perfect care for our little angels. So here is my problem. Ill start by saying, I don't want to set a bad example for my current nanny, and in the situation I am in, The environment is bad, uncomfortable and needs to be delt with, yesterday. I have worked for my current family for 17 months and within this time the father seems to have grown to dislike any and everything I do. I have noticed that he gives me the cold shoulder and if there is something that needs to be addressed he will send me a rude text message (while he's in another room of home). I will then address the text message with "mom" as soon as i see her next, because "dad" won't speak with me, and because my number one thing to a good team arrangement, is communication. I have to get it off my chest. On multiple occasion this has happened and not once have I got any feed back, resolution or explanation as to what I can correct, or if its even me. I have grown to be very uncomfortable in their home I spend 10 hours daily in. I feel like I have done everything I can to put my personal feelings aside and be professional, not taking to hearlt the things he says, but it's increasingly getting more and more difficult, being that I only see him through the day. I walk on egg shells when he's here or I leave to park. I know I take great care of these beauties and I take pride in what I do. So in the last week I took it upon myself to search for another job, and in turn have been offered an amazing position, my only thing is that they need someone to start Monday. I feel horrible that I'm going to have to give such short notice, and I have read many of these forums and how many parents are not happy about short/no notice of leaving. I am not one of those nannys, I feel I have done and communicated to the best of my ability. What do you all suggest please help. How do I go about this? I don't want bad blood. I am an honest person, they were not needed for a reference check for the new job. Thanks!
