There are lots of great nannies out there looking for jobs who are legal to work, why not hire one of them? This under the table stuff is what makes it so very hard to regulate this industry. If we all stopped hiring illegal workers, paying under the table, etc. you'd have less nannies being mistreated, being paid well below minimum wage, and cheated out of OT. The attitude that it doesn't hurt anyone is a dangerous one. The laws are there to prevent abuse and they should be taken seriously, whether you feel your situation warrants it or not. [/quote]
