They need to first be accepted to a college or university, then fill out the financial verification paperwork. Once the school gets that, they will give the student a letter/form to take to the consulate for a visa interview. No sponsor needed. If you sign the sponsor paperwork, YOU are on the hook for any money she ends up not having. NOT a smart plan... All universities have this information on their websites, including how much money she will need in the bank in order to get them to give her the ok to come to school.[/quote]
