I have an interview coming up for a weekend, live-in position that I'm very excited about. I've never worked strictly on the weekends and was looking for any advice pertaining to such an interview/position. I've thought long and hard about this decision and realize this will be a huge lifestyle change for me! However, it'll allow me to continue my education during the week, have a great experience(job is outside my state), and earn more money then I do now working full-time. - What can I do make myself stand-out? I meet all of their qualifications, but they stated they want someone who is at least 24 and I just recently turned 24. Is this a disadvantage on my part? - My current family doesn't know I'm seeking an alternative position, so how could I gracefully bow out? They are an awesome family, but their schedule is unpredictable and wouldn't coincide with a class schedule well. - Can I get away with just using a letter of recommendation from them and telling the interviewing family that I was looking to secure a position before I gave notice(at least two weeks!)? Or is that just sketchy? Lol! - I plan on having a contract and asking to be paid on the books. Is it appropriate to ask about guaranteed hours, vacation days, etc.. during the interview? Any advice, thoughts, etc would be GREATLY appreciated! Sorry for any typos. :) On my iPhone! Thanks!
