Haha! Thanks guys!! Needed a little vent this morning :) Love my MB&DB but DB can be a little messy when it's his turn in the nursery!! I kindly mentioned to him that leaving dirty stuff on the changing table for when I get there isn't really cool! Baby is down for a nap, house is picked up, baby laundry is done and put away, and I have a whole 15 minutes of ipad and lunch time for me before waking the baby to feed her and and picking up her 3,5,and6 year old sisters at school! Yep, 4 girls! :) I really do love being a nanny, I have an awesome job! Happy Friday!!
Funny you mention DB's turn in the nursery! My first thought upon reading your original post is that the baby woke Dad up from a deep sleep and he got flustered by the crying. My DH, who is highly competent and accomplished in every other aspect of his life, has left similar messes at our house--including on weekends when the mess sits for me rather than the nanny. Yes, it drives me nuts. Yes, he hears about it from me. But bottom line, nannies, is that you should try not to be so quick to conclude that you are being disrespected. This is about the male inability to multitask in the face of a screaming baby FAR MORE SO than it is about the parents' attitude toward the nanny. Don't be so quick to offend!
