Not PP, but are you kidding me?  A professional does not sleep on the job and certainly not at $35/hr.  We paid $20/hour for NICU nurses for our twins 3 years ago.  They did not sleep, cleaned up the bottles and even gave meds.  We got a discount because they knew us from our long stay in the NICU prior and I have "paid them back" by referring them multiple times since then.  I still get emails asking for a reference from time to time.  We live in Bethesda.[/quote]

There are a lot of jobs that allow the night nanny/newborn care specialist to sleep while the baby or babies are sleeping.  It really depends on the length of shifts you are doing, what the parents want and of course if the babies have any special needs that need constant monitoring.  If you are working 24 hour shifts, then it's only natural that you would sleep when baby sleeps.  However if you are working 8 hour shifts, then you would most likely stay awake.  [/quote]
