I agree with all of this.

They're offering you OT, but it's a lower hourly rate than what you'd calculated. This would suit people who wanted the additional time off but not people who needed additional income - it's probably not negotiable with the family (although you should try), just a matter of deciding whether their offer works for you.[/quote]
