OP here. The nanny is not out of shape. Maybe she does have a foot issue and should see a podiatrist? For now, I would like to assume it is her cheap shoes inconveniencing her. I pay her well, so I don't see why she can't splurge on one good pair-for health reasons. For those calling this post a troll, you're the only trolls I see around here. Please don't waste my time, if you've got nothing better to do. I guess wasting your Sunday away is something you look forward to, so waste away.
You may pay her well but you don't know her home situation. What if she has a lot of debt? Is taking care of an elderly parent and paying their bills? What if to her that typy of splurge is unnecessary and a waste of money. You say see a doctor - do you provide her with health insurance? Cause a doctor is expensive. No one is wasting their time - you came here and posted. Don't like the replies-move on. Oh I wear cheap shoes (mostly) -because I'm not a shoe person, I don't see why shoes cost so much. I wear flats, sandels, sneakers and so on -mostly shoes from payless or target. The mostexpensive shoes I wear are vibram five finger shoes. Which will retrain your feet to not need arch type shoes - because regular shoes are what caused the arch (and shin splints). You can't tell her to get expensive shoes but you can expect her to get the child out. You should talk to her about your expectations and if they are not followed than you can take the next step. Now go enjoy your Sunday - maybe get outside and go to the park with your child instead of being online
Meow.
