While in the park today, I was preoccupied by the baby I nanny, I didn't realize that the other child I was caring for, who is five years old, got away. It took me over thirty minutes to find him, and when I did, he was crying. I felt awful. I don't know whether or not it would be necessary to tell my MB (who is extremely overprotective) about this. It isn't that big of a deal, really, is it?
OMG, I can't believe that you are even considering NOT telling your MB about this! If you think it is not really that big of a deal to lose a child for 30 minutes in a park, which is crazy, then you should have no problem telling this to your MB as obviously nothing would happen to you, right? You need to work on why and how he managed to get away from you for 30 minutes WITH your MB, and see how to prevent this in the future. You cannot pretend that it never happened, especially if you are scared of what MB might think about it and do. Your MB has every right to know about this and act on it however she feels. This is quite serious and needs some attention.
