I thought it was awful.
What specifically didn't you like? I remember the author on Oprah, and all the major talk shows. Everyone wanted to hear him.
His first book was called The Gift of Fear and I felt like this was essentially a rehashing of that. Specifically what don't I like? IT IS TRYING TO MAKE YOU AFRAID. It is selling you something by scaring you, and by convincing you that you need to buy this book in order to listen to your gut or trust your instincts because he has something to say about that YOU NEED TO KNOW OR YOU MIGHT BE DOING IT WRONG. And it's sooooo important to do it correctly because OMG THERE IS VIOLENCE SOMETIMES (but actually much less than there used to be, so much less that we actually, technically, factually, live in the safest times in the entire history of humanity) and you or someone you love might die. From violence. But read this book and you'll be safer. Just me, personally, I've had enough of the fear-mongering we see on TV and from politicians and in our public discourse. Let's start talking about the good work people are doing and shift our whole perspective, make real progress in this world. Enough of this madness.
