I sometimes pick up a child from daycare and watch him for a few hours. It's only once in a while. (on average once a week). I have been doing this since he was 4 months old. He's a big boy (super tall &.weight). He turned a year last month and the parents finally moved to a regular carseat (even though he should have moved long ago) Now that he's not in the infant carseat they are finding it harder to pick him up from daycare. They only bought one carseat - so if the seat is in say moms car she has to pick him up (sometimes leaving work or meetings). I have to pick him up next week and I guess with all the frustration with the new carseat they said they would leave the infant seat (because taking out the carseat all the time has been a hassle just between the two of them and pick up/drop off). I told them I wasn't comfortable driving with him in the infant seat. It's not a long drive but still it's in a car. I really really feel uncomfortable about this and they just aren't concerned. I'm thinking I'm going to let them know I can't drive with their child until they provide a proper carseat. And yes it will have to be taken in and out of my car ( which will be a pain but I pick him up so little - I need the space for my fulltime job). Thoughts? Would you just use the infant seat? Do what the parents say? Or stick to your guns and continue to say it's unsafe
