There may well be someone willing to take that job. If the only jobs advertised here are low paying, you are correct that nannies seeking high-paying jobs will go elsewhere. But, advertisements here are for a range of salaries. Nannies who want high-paying positions can -- and should -- ignore the low paying offers. Those willing to work for less can still respond to the lower-paying opportunities. If you gave this a bit more thought, you would realize that getting rid of low-paying job offers would not decrease the number of job seekers willing to work for a lower wage than you. If there were no low-paying offers, everyone would compete for the high-paying offers. Instead of wasting your time reading an ad for a position that pays only $10 per hour, you would waste your time going to an interview and then being told someone willing to work for less has been hired.
