I was thinking about what I would have done in this type of situation and I think that no matter what, I would probably call the police station and THEN see if a neighbor was home. I know there is no way that I could kick in a door so I would hope that the police could help or a neighbor could help.

That situation wouldn't happen with me because any time I am going outside I make sure to have my keys on me just in case. Even if I don't take my purse, keys come out of the purse and into a pocket and then back into purse once back inside. Even if you think the door is unlocked, you leave it open a crack, wedge something in it to hold it open, SOMETHING can always happen so that you are locked out. Keys on person at anytime I am outside and no one else is home to be able to let me in.[/quote]
