Right now I have an AP and I'm just a bit tired of it. Its good for my flexible needs, outlined below, but I'd like to get a bit of privacy back in my home. I haven't had the best luck matching with them so far... I am a divorced mom with two children 4.5/7. They both attend the same private school all day. One's in 1st grade, one in K4 (4YO Kindergarten), 8:15-3:45. Two days a week (currently Monday and Wednesday), they visit their father for dinner from 4-9PM. Every other weekend they go to their father's house for the weekend, starting on Friday at 4PM. I need help full days during the summer from 8AM-7PM on my days with the children 2-3 days a week. Right now, I have to schedule my kids in a summer camp weekly because I cannot have the AP work more than 10 hours a day...and that would be 11. There are full day summer camps. There is after care offered by the school. I can in theory schedule them pretty much all day in those but prefer not. They have sports and I'd like them also to have fun outside or with playdates or playgrounds or just time at home to play with their toys and being in before/aftercare doesn't allow that. I'm not sure if a part-time nanny or nanny share would work...would this be a schedule that a nanny would do? Or should I stick with the AP / part-time camps in the summer...? If I did a part-time nanny during the year, how would I do the summer break?? I would love a live-out part time nanny...but not sure that would work best. I'm willing to pay an appropriate salary. I have not had luck with college or high school kids. This gets tough also if there's a teacher work day or sick day...and then there's winter and spring breaks (their school has an extra week in both that the public schools don't have).
