It would probably be a good idea to give her a couple days to explain herself, just in case. But I also think that someone could easily lie about something like grandparent dying and forgetting to call you to let you know. How would you know if it was the truth or not? If someone is the type of person who wouldn't contact a potential employer about not being able to show for work (not due to an emergency), then I wouldn't assume that they would tell the truth about the reason why either.[/quote]
