Not all have had lots of money, one was a very large family with 5 kids and had trouble with bills every month, yet they still gave presents that were worth $75-100 as a show of appreciation and caring that this person not only helps them everyday, but as someone who is like part of the family.

I think that it is a bit insulting to give a $5-8 stocking stuff gift when the nanny gave gifts to all family members and spent many hours working on one of the gifts for their child, that didn't cost too much but took much effort and thought.[/quote]
