Nanny positions do not last forever as kids grow up. You are an employee not an adopted adult child. They may be in a position where they really no longer need to employ a nanny but are keeping you around. You enjoy a reduced workload and the same pay/perks so you hang around. If you are not doing things that make you valuable as an employee then you have no reason to expect a bonus for exceeding your performance because you are not doing this. [/quote]
