In fact a more logical comparison for nannies would be the salary that you would earn as a daycare worker which is the exact same skill set and arguably a much tougher job with fewer perks. They don't have any of the freedom to run errands, do activities, talk on their phones or nap when the kids nap or any of the other perks that come with being a nanny. A good number of daycares even require more credentials and education than most nanny positions. Nannies have it pretty good even at $12-$14 an hour. [/quote]
