Hi Fellow Nannies - - I have a question…..
How many of you have been invited to join your Nanny Family tmw night for trick or treating? I work part-time for a few families & two have invited me to join the family while their children go trick or treating which has not happened prior. |
|
Note:
To just go along with them + tag along for fun. The parents are going w/us so no me watching their children. |
| You have plans |
| Never been invited. I’m ok with it. I’ve hosted a Halloween playgroup though with some nanny friends and their kids. So we all get to see our charges dressed up and having fun. |
| For pay, sure, for free, no. |
|
They ask you because they know you will help.
Don't be a fool. |
This. Exactly. No NF out there would invite the kid’s nanny to come along just because they think the kids would be happy. Ha! They are only extending an invite to you so that there will be another adult present to lessen their responsibility. Trust me on this -> there should be zero room for doubt. |
| I would invite a nanny bc the kids love them and it’s something that might be fun for all involved. I wouldn’t expect the nanny to care for the children, just to have a good time. But I’d also respect if the nanny wanted to go have fun with adults or just rest. |

That’s actually really nice of them to include you. It’s probably just their way of showing appreciation and wanting you to be part of the fun. If you’re comfortable, go and enjoy the evening, it can be a great way to bond with the family.
