Is it alright to ask for a Nanny to watch the children if we live in an apartment? Should there be a rate adjustment for a home vs. an apartment? Moving from rural area and would be brand new to apartment living.

Yes be honest and up front when you advertise the position.

Is it a live in position? Will you be working from home?

They should interview with you twice - once in a public place, and the second time in your home. You don't have to apologize for where you live. They can choose to take the job or not.

Why in public first? If it’s for safety reasons, the type of home shouldn’t really matter. If anything, an apartment building is safer because there can be a front desk attendant, cameras, and neighbors on the other side of the walls.

Why would an apartment you live in not be a home?

What's the rate adjustment about?

This thread is strange! Why the rate adjustment? The rate is the same she’ll be watching your kid not your house and or living space. The rate remains the same
