Nanny here

Families I’d like to you know you use security cameras in your house. Especially the indoor ring cameras with motion detection

This family has ring cameras with motion sensors all over the house and the blue light comes on when it detects our motion.
Does that mean I’ve been recorded all the time when the blue light comes on?

What other options are there? How do families use nanny cameras? Do they record all day long , or just live to check? Thank you!

My ring camera only records when there's motion and yes, I can go back into the history and look at all the recordings both video and audio

Similarly, my office has cameras throughout, so I'm visible and recorded visually through the day. My office does not have audio recording. Our restrooms don't have cameras, so I just go there if I'd like privacy (adjusting clothing, applying makeup, changing if I have an event after work). It's not a big deal to me at all, I'm just used to it since my teen years when I had customer facing jobs in retail and restaurants. At work I just behave as though I'm on camera and it's fine.

A nanny told me she’s more formal and less affectionate with the toddler she takes care of, no hugs or anything like that. She said some mothers would be upset if their child got any kind of hug from a nanny.
