Why would you even ask that question lol I know I’m The states my bosses had to have worker’s compensation to cover accidents etc

I’ve never asked a family that. Now im a parent I would find that an odd question of a prospective nanny/sitter.

yep, worker's compensation is what my employer is paying for. Pretty standard over here.

I would find it strange that you don't tell a nanny that you are covered with workman's comp. insurance. If she gets hurt on your house, it's on you.

Families aren’t required to have workers comp for a nanny. Asking about it for no reason makes it seem like you’re going to scam them.

no, it just looks like she is making sure she is protected/insured against accident

Were they planning to report for taxes? If not that may be a reason - maybe they wouldnt want to get workers comp insurance if they aren’t reporting.

In the US we have workers comp in placed for all household staff
