| My MB is about to lose her dad. She does not have family close by. I want to help her so badly but I do not know how to. I have been asking her like every two days how her dad is progressing but I do not want to over do it. I also offered to accompany her to visit her dad in hospital because I did not want her to do the long drive alone incase she received bad news on her way. Is there something more you think I can do? Thanks |

| Being the best nanny you can possibly be will help her more than anything. As will anything practical like offering lifts etc. If you are able, offer to babysit one night to give her time to see her mom or rest. |

| Do as much as you can around the house. Basic tasks (cleaning, cooking, laundry, etc.) feel like immense burdens when you're dealing with a sick family member. Asking you how you can help is great, but sometimes someone in that situation doesn't even know what they need, so just doing things that you see need to be done would be greatly appreciated. |
